RiNAiM is a New York-based, handcrafted slow fashion brand that celebrates the concept of "gracefully coloring your everyday life." Transforming traditional kimono designs into kimono-inspired robes and modern robe jackets. Designed to be worn for casual outings, each piece adds an effortless elegance to any look. From creative design to meticulous sewing techniques, every piece is personally and carefully crafted alongside my trusty industrial brother sewing machine (which crossed the Pacific with me from Japan in 2015). 

Born in Japan with Korean roots, I grew up watching my mother and grandmother transform old kimonos, fabrics, and Korean jeogori into modern dresses. The mix of these two cultures deeply influenced my creativity from a young age. My design inspiration comes from the intricate kaleidoscope-like patterns and color combinations found in cultural wear like kimono, hanbok, hanfu, and kaftan. My background in oil painting also fostered a deep love and understanding of color, which I continue to express through my work.

To create "wearable art," I prioritize comfort and quality above all else. My robes are designed with a relaxed silhouette that can be confidently worn by anyone, up to size L.
